Make the most of The Big Meeting at the official campsite hosted by Marras - the Friends of Durham Miners' Gala.

On sale now for Friday 12 and Saturday 13 July 2024.

The campsite is in a beautiful and quiet setting just a short walk from the festivities (see map below), and includes free shower and toilet facilities, plus on site catering providing breakfasts. The site features a communal area with a bar, catering and live entertainment exclusively for our guests only. Stewarding will be on site throughout the night to ensure a safe and secure stay.

The 138th Durham Miners' Gala takes place on Saturday 13 July 2024. Accommodation can be booked now for Friday 12 and/or Saturday 13 July 2024.

The campsite will open at noon on Friday 7, and closes at 3pm on Sunday 9 July. Camper vans and caravans, as well as tents, are welcome. Dogs on leads are also welcome. We also offer a limited number of electric hook ups on a first-come-first-served basis, which can be booked alongside camping tickets below.

Book now for an early bird price is £15 per person per night for adults, £7.50 for under 16s, and free for under 5s. Prices will then rise.

Free cancellation with a full refund (minus transaction fees) is available until Saturday 6 July 2024 – a week before the 2023 Big Meeting.
